Ray Pollock Benefit Tournament

This tournament is being planned as a one day event on Lake L.B.J. near Marble Falls Texas March 14, 2009 at LBJ Yacht Club and Marina. 200 South Wirtz Dam Road 78657
The event will be managed by a Special Events committe made from the membership of The Working Mans Bass Club.

Rules and Regulations

1.  Tournament entry fees will be $100.00 per boat per day. This includes $20.00 per boat for the big bass pot. This is a team event, consisting of two people MAXIMUM per boat. Both team members must be paid contestants; no riders allowed during tournament.

2. All federal, state, and local laws apply.

3.  Largemouth, Small Mouth and Spotted bass will be allowed, and Spotted bass must be 14 inches long and will be identified by tongue patch only.

4.  Life jackets must be worn by both occupants while boat is on plane. Kill switch lanyard must be attached to the boat operator and kill switch any time the big engine is running.

5.  All entry fees should be paid by 5:00 P.M. the evening prior to the day of the tournament if at all possible. All tournament participants must be registered and entry fee paid no later than one (1) hour prior to the designated start time of the event. The Tournament Director will make arrangements for a time and place for contestants to register and pay their entry fee.

6.  Teams must be at the weigh-in site by the designated time or they will receive a one (1) pound per minute late penalty and/or disqualification after 10 minutes.

7.  No Tailoring will be allowed, all teams must depart from a common location as designated by the tournament director.

8. This is a ‘Catch-and-Release’ tournament. Each participant should make every effort to maintain all fish in their best possible condition. All live fish shall be returned back into the lake.

9. The use of commercially available chemicals for this purpose such as ‘ReJuvenade®’ or ‘Catch & Release®’ etc.  are recommended and allowed.

10.  There will be a 5 fish limit per boat.

11.  There will be a .25 pound penalty for any dead fish weighed in.

12.  Any team that brings a short fish to the scales will be penalized .50 pounds and that fish will not be counted toward their total weight. All fish will be measured on a "golden rule" measuring board. Teams will have the opportunity  to measure their questionable fish on the official board before turning their bag over to be weighed.

13.  All Tournament Director decisions are final. A protest for rule violations must be made to the Tournament Director prior to the distribution of any prizes. If it is a protest concerning the weight of a fish or stringer, it must be made prior to the fish being returned to the lake. No dead fish will be returned to the lake.

14.  NO alcoholic beverages shall be consumed by any participant or official during tournament hours. No illegal drugs will be tolerated. Any misconduct can result in disqualification by Tournament Director.

15. In the event that a participant is disqualified for any reason, that individual shall be removed from further consideration in the competition.

16.  No live bait (excluding pork trailers) may be used. No trolling with the big motor.

ABF'ers I know these guys they are a really great bunch of people.
I know Ray he is a heck of a guy and one hell of a good fisherman.
We will make this one for sure.

I spoke with Dave Coupel yesterday. They will be excepting registrations at the LBJ Yacht Club parking lot this evening and tomorrow morning starting at 5AM. Give Dave a call if you have any questions 830-598-1871
