Hit Travis Saturday morning with the intention of covering a lot of water and spending the better part of the day out there. It was pretty calm when I backed in at Manfield, and I spent an hour or so putting are on the points and in the coves near the dam. Picked up four bass, two of them keepers, both right at 2lbs. I guess the wind came up while I was in the back of a cove. I went to make a long run up-lake, and the waves were coming over the bow of the boat. Now my old ranger normally handles rough water pretty well, but this day I couldn't stay dry. After a while I finally gave up and headed back to the ramp, with the bilge pump going full blast. By the time I got her trailered I was soaked to the skin. Final score four fish and a serious bath. Instead of covering a lot water, it covered me.
