As everyone knows this has been a crazy year for huge fish. Choke is kicking out giants like crazy, even that mudhole of a lake Sommerville had its big bass record broken.

All of you that fish Lake Austin know the giants are in there! It is time to bust the record on Lake Austin.

TTZ, Hustler Turf Equipment, Mitchell Outdoor products, is ready to announce that starting this Wednesday, if you are entered in our T, and break the lake record, we will present you with a check for $25,000.00.

There are no special rules or tricks.

It is pretty simple.

1. You must be in our tournament
2. You must be following the rules of our tournament
3. You must catch the fish in a legal sporting manner
4. You must hook and play the fish yourself ( your co-angler can help you land the fish by hand or with a net, like always )
5. The fish must be certified by TPWD as a record.

That is it !

14.35lbs at 27.00" long on  Feb 27, 1995 by Gaylon Aylieff ..

That bass above must be pushing 19lbs, if still in the lake!
Their lifespan is on average 16 years. Generally, trophy bass (10 pounds and larger) are about 10 years old. (Texas State Parks and Wildlife)

Good incentive to fish more.  ;

It is no fooling. We did leave out the expiration dates.

It will start this Wednesday, and run for the next 23 straight weeks. This is not a one shot deal.

Keith Crabb caught one at 14 lbs a couple years back. They are in there!
