Went out today at about 3 pm and fished till 5:30. Was really windy and cold. Caught two small fish. One was barely a keeper.

Do have any tip for a newbi fisherman to the Austin area. I just moved here and want to start bass fishing

Sorry this was my first time to fish Travis. Might want to try LBJ. It is a great lake with lots of "cover" aka boat docks. Throw a jig,worm, spinnerbait, crankbait, jerkbait, almost anything you want.

I was out there on Saturday with Clint_B, had 4 keeper Guadalupes, that was all. Caught a lot of short fish.
Sunday, Round Rock Jr. Bass Club T, didn't weigh in a fish. Had a couple close to 14", and lost a real good one at the boat that would've won the tournament easily by itself. :'(
Went from the bank today, caught 8 fish. Dad caught one close to 4lbs. too.
Moonraker, you left out something, a jig. I don't throw many cranks anymore, but I use a jig, drop-shot, TX-rig, Carolina Rig, and jerkbaits on Lake Travis.
