I took a few hours on Monday and Wed to head out to Travis. On Monday I ran a lot looking for new water and finally found a bluff with a 10-12 foot ledge and caught a 2.5lb and 11 Travis specials in about the last hour. Water was only about 54-55 from Bee Creek to the Dam. Went out again yesterday and found a couple in the 2 pound range fairly shallow. I was on the lower end and this cove had 58.5 water in it. I ended with 13 fish, with all caught in less than 15 feet of water. If the weather holds, this could be an exceptional weekend on Travis.

I'm taking the kids (4 and 7) out this weekend on Travis. I can't decide if I want to try Cow creek, Pedernales, or Hurst Creek. I've never fished Cow or Hurst and have only fished Ped twice (unsuccessfully).

No matter where we go, it should be a fun time trying.
