went to tl and dropped in by AhS but only caught one fish, went to decker in the afternoon n only caught one fish!!! whats the deal w this?? all the summer weed growth totally caught me off guard!!! i cant get anything to bite!!!! Any suggestion on what s been gettin done on those lakes recently..... Breazy84 in town n i wanna put him on some fish since he took me out to get redfish limits 3 times last month!! hes a good fisherman!!any help will be greatly appreciated..

On Decker try the deep point as you are making your way around to the hot water side. Many times they will bunch up there this time of year. It's the point where the submerged ski boat was against the bank a couple of years ago.

I don't have a depth finder either. That whole lake is filled with giant boulders. There are a bunch between the mopac bridge and AHS on the south shore. You can see a lot of them in the water......just go deeper and throw something along the bottom to see if you can feel any in the deeper water. Once you find them...just remember where they are b/c if there is not any fish on them right now...there will be at some point.

Brand of crankbait is does not matter (IMO). The fish have been feeding on shad...so just throw something that is similar

That's a nice tip. I just wish I could get to that area with my boat from the I35 ramp in less than an hour+... oh well. :)

thanks herzog, me and my dad went yesterday morning and caught five fish, three dinks and one two and one two and a half. all on senkos on the banks btw austin high and barton springs. haven't been getting any by barton springs, maybe i have been fishing the more shallow part of the grassbed.
