Perfect weather to go fishing. Little to no wind. Water temp around 69. Dropped in at holiday inn and headed towards congress again. Not really a pattern but caught 7 total on drop shots and senko - picked off a big sunfish while drop shotting. Bridges and grass lines is where I had the most luck. Biggest bass went 16 inches. Two in the 15 inch range and the rest were dinks.
How much line are y’all using for your drop shots? I’ve been going with the 12-14 inch range but have been wondering if I should tighten it up. Thoughts?

Nice catches.
With dropshot I normally run a 18 to 24 inch leader.
Anything less on long casts I would rather just use a Texas rig or even shaky head.

I usually fish close to shore and find 9-12" seems to work best for me. Maybe I need to get a longer leader and fish deeper.
