Well after looking in the driveway all day knowing there was nothing I could do I decided I would go do a little fly fishing over in a drainage ditch that runs through the Town and Country sports complex near my house.

It has been about 11 years since I picked up my fly rod but seeing Juke's post about fly fishing, the urge got me.

There is an area that is damed up that gives decent access to working a fly rod.   Got down there and put on a small frog colored popper and on my first 3 presentations I caught fish.  Ended up catching about 20 or so,  8 bass and the rest perch.  Would have stayed longer but I only had 3 of those type baits and I guess because they were so old the just fell apart after about 15 each.  Had fun and caught fish.  Nice evening!  Just Call me "Gadabout Gaddis" JR

Juke,
It has been a while since I hit the Llano, went there years ago with a canoe, me and a buddy caught fish all day long. lost count but had to be near 100. The biggest we had was a 3lber. We only used spinning tackle and rooster tails. Definitely want to do that sometime with the fly rod. JR
