Hit the pond by my house and had a pretty good morning. Fished from 7:30 - 11. Missed the first two bites...one of which was a giant. Not sure what happened as I was fishing a crank...must have been the lingering hang over. I ended up with 2 fish, first a 2lber followed by the one below that measured 22" 7.9lbs. On my way out there was a group of young kids playing on the bank. They ran over as I was getting out of the water and were all about the fishing. They wanted to learn so I showed them how to cast a spinning rig and let each one practice casting and reeling a few times. They thought that was pretty neat.
