Decided to check out Stillhouse since Georgetown is getting so crowded. We were last there on 5/13 and caught 13 on small swimbaits. The water clarity has made a big change in those three weeks. Can easily see fish swimming just above the hydrilla in 15 ft. of water. Saw bass of all sizes and bluegill everywhere. Tried to back off and threw the tackle box at them to no avail. Caught one dink on a senko way up shallow. Worst trip since January. Water was 81º. Left at 12:30 and found all but three boats had already left. Back to GT next time.

I love the Stillhouse hydrilla patches, but those bites are tough to come by. I would’ve thought the small swimbait would have caught a least a couple. Senko does the trick. You’ll get ‘em next time.
