·Made my first ever fishing trip in Austin this morning, since relocating here, and wound up in the middle of Lake Austin (don't worry, I made it out
).

First off, I blame the zero fish on it being 35 degrees and all the fish being in deeper waters. However, the drawdown seems to have made a mini-river system that I've pointed out in the last pic. This would be a sweet fly fishing spot had there been any fish to catch. It has made rapids which are almost entirely visable to the bottom, 1 to 4 feet down. Would also be a cool place to bring a Kayak through these rapids if you could brave the cold water (but prob not the safest thought, due to the rocks, but still a cool idea). Fished for about 1.5 hours and not soo much as a bite.
