About time I caught something worth posting pics of....
After losing a BIG fish yesterday due to equipment failure, I was pretty bummed to even go this morning. On the water at 445a and fished the underwater lights above 360. Picked up a nice keeper bass on Pet Spoon and then followed that up by hooking a hybrid while deadsticking a topwater. Just as sun started to peak out, fish disappeared from the lights. Started tossing topwater, an old "walk-the-dog" wooden lure I have had for years. (Wish I could remember the name) Anyways, tossed parallel to a dock in about 11' slowly working towards boat. She slurped it down, barely even disturbing the surface. Thought she was small until the drag started singing. After praying out loud, letting her run, then pulling her in many times, she finally came belly up to the boat. All 8lb 2oz of her! My new personal best! Tossed her in the livewell, added lots of Please Release Me for a few hours until she was lively again. Released at the ramp. While ya'll were sleeping, I was fishin'! ;D

Muggy. No wind made for a very sweaty time. Had several more blow ups on the topwater, but nothing would stick. Kept it interesting for a while anyways.BlueSkeeter said:

I remember the day you stuck your old PB clearly. A crazy Friday evening session with your 6 plus PB anchoring our 20 lb total in 30 minutes! Celebration dinner at Ski shores with some of the crew. Good times...
