I was the Academy on 183 and Oak Knoll and I noticed there Shimano Castaic reels were on clearance for $109.99 normally $169.99. Great deal for a great reel, just thought I would pass the info along.

Never even picked one up. How's it compare to a Curado e?
Salt worthy?

As good as a Curado with a flipping/pitching switch. I think it's bit more heavy duty than a Curado. I've been using some of the same reels for 15 years.
