Re: Senko Kit $70obo

Yeah they are the 5 inch. Yeah they will do whatever you make them for. Depending on how much salt you add to the plastic will make the senko either fall slower or faster. I've actually even added small weights in mine to get them to fall either head or tail first. The best recipe was:

4oz Plastic
1/8 Cup Softner
1/8 Cup Salt

You heat up the Plastic/Softner mix. When it hits around 350 degrees it turns like a clear gel. Then I Add colorant. For me it was 20drops Light watermelon or avocado and and 8-10 drops motor oil. Add my black glitter, mix then add the salt slowly while stirring. When it's back to a nice liquid form you can start pouring straight down the cavities slowly and consistently. Once full wait around 2-4 minutes and pull apart. They cool rather fast. Put the mold back together and repour.. You can make around 20-30 senko's with this recipe. When ever you have a bad senko just remelt and repour. I also would use them, and remelt my old plastics then repour into new senko's.

Re: Senko Kit $70obo

You can prob get around 200 senko's out of the 1/2 gallon plastic that I have left. A new 1 Gal CPC 1207 Soft Plastic (Formerly CPC 2101) is $28.99. A gal of plastic can get you anywhere from 300-400 senko's depending on your mix. Del-Mart Molds are custom cut. I had to wait 3 weeks for them to make this one since they were back ordered. They make every kind of bait that's out there. This one is actually the 5 1/4 and sells for $62 by itself.

It actually sortof fun to catch them on one that you made from scratch or on a custom color only you have the recipe for.

who ever bought this got a good deal.

Cheaper method:
bucket of plaster of paris= about $7
Use a yamamoto or what ever bait you want and make a mold with the PP.

save all your old torn up soft plastics and melt them in the microwave. take about 2-3 minutes.

pour the melted plastic in to your mold and let cool.

you can order diffrent coloring off the inter for pretty cheap.
