Went down to Sea Isle, near Jamaica Beach on Galveston Island last week. Fishing was slow in the surf. We soaked mullet for hours, every day, and not even a hard head wanted our offerings. Tried live finger mullet, cut mullet, gulps, shrimp...My brother caught a small bonnet head shark and a couple of whiting on Fish Bites. It was green to the beach first part of the week, then turned to stained late in the week.

We rented a house on the bay side of the island, and did great at night under lights at the house. Mostly caught on live shrimp. Hundreds of dinks caught, and some nice keeps mixed in. It made for a fun family vacation. Also got a few at the San Luis Pass County park. My friend was camping there late in the week.

Here's a few pics.
