So on with the REAL fishing report. I was invited to fish with David Lykes at this place. I was told to bring my little bass boat, incase the bigger bass boats and center console boats could not launch. However, once we all arrived (6 people and 4 boats), there actually no problem launching a 2500lb boat with 4x4 into this small lake. Water temp was 86 degrees and the water was off color. The maximum depth we found was 17 foot. I understand there are crappie, bass, perch and catfish in this small lake.
Lures of choice for me, white spinnerbait caught the biggest bass at 15.25" and probably the smallest fish (Perch shorter than my hook-see pic above)...Also any green pumpkin plastic. I also caught a lot of bass on a Yum 4" Dinger, watermelon. Ran out of them, fished Tx rigged. Others were having luck on a Lake Fork Baby Fry, lizards, senkos and worms.
Pics going to entrance. It looked like we were going to a bass tournament.
Pic of Darrel and his nice/big Skeeter with 300hp...(Yea, was hoping he would go WOT-LOL)
