I got my 50# troller back from warranty repair last Saturday and was anxious to take it out for sea trials. I launched from the pavilion at 4:00pm. The 50# troller works good and in addition I’m back to the Helix5 for the sonar.
My back is still toast but I wanted to get out anyway. I went over to the humps and set the anchor. I gingerly stood and lobbed out TR ribbontail to a drop-off in 10FOW. I got a bump and because I can’t execute a swinging hookset, I furiously reelset instead. The reelset worked and I managed two more from the same drop off. I moved down the contour but could not get any more bites. I went back to the starting spot and caught two more. Off at 7:00PM.
