I got home from work yesterday and noticed the wind had laid down for the afternoon. Perfect for fishing. I saw an earwig crawling down the driveway and that’s it, I’m staying home because the calm wind is perfect for spraying. When I first bought my house, a friend told me to avoid Home Depot’s “Wall of Death” and instead get the potent Demon WP from the feed store.

A couple years later, a man selling pest control service knocked on my door. I told him I was a DIY’er. He inquired what I was using and I told him about the Demon. His eyes got big and he said, “What are you seeing that makes you spray that!”

“Brother,” I told him, “I don’t see nuthin’. ”

The feed store closed up shop a few years back, but a pest control guy gave me a big jug of what he uses, so I dosed the yard and slab pretty good with that.

I got home today and the wind was building in from the North. Yeah, perfect for fishing. I loaded up and headed to the lake. I had the lake to myself. I launched at 4:00PM. There were several bank anglers but I was the only one on the water. I didn’t even install the front troller figuring I was going to be fishing from anchor.

I trolled out and the wind freshened up. I anchored and fan cast TR BBH, Chatterbait, and Rat-L-Trap, hauling water. Then I looked at the gunnel and saw the potent Demon DT. I cast it out and it got smoked by a fun fish. I kept moving and resetting the anchor and I’d get another one on the DT. The wind got chilly and I put on my raincoat. I boated four and had a couple pull off. Off at 6:00PM.

Not related to fishing, but the old Demon XP was a killer on almost everything that crawled. You could buy a pound of it at Callahan's, and MAN did it work! Glad you got some fishing time in, and hauled a few bass to boot.

I saw this on the interweb:

“The 1 pound jar size of Demon WP has been discontinued and is no longer being made by Syngenta.”

The water soluble packets are still available.
