The last few times I've been to Decker I have not been able to pay because the kiosk reads "invalid card". The attendant told me cards that expire in '26 and '27 won't read for some reason and "just go on in". This only began a ew months ago, I think around the firs of the year. I always stop still, but it just won't take the card. I feel bad about not paying my entry fee, but since they can't take cash oh well. Has anyone else experienced this at Decker or elsewhere?

I‘d feel real bad right up until I got that first bite, LOL. If the attendant says you‘re good, I would not feel bad.

I sorta feel bad about rolling the dice on Saturday’s at Lady Bird. Sometimes the meter won’t sell parking until it’s close enough to the metered start time. But usually I just park and launch, so I could wind up with a $30 ticket one of these days.

After the ice storm, the Bastrop South Park card reader didn’t work but we fished anyway, oh well. Normally, the Bastrop card readers are pretty reliable.

I had the same issue at bastrop last week. i feel bad at decker because those poor people that sleep in the booth need to get paid! (haha). no seriously i feel bad because that money is used by the government to maintain the parks and.....bwahahahaha! hoo, i almost said that with a straight face as if the government would ever NOT waste money.

ok all honesty, i feel bad because i know that SOME of that money does indeed go back to helping the lakes. i uust dont feel TOO bad about it.

fyi headed to strop in the morning to catch a few 2#ers before the winds pick up

Honesty is the best policy. If you’re having trouble with the Decker kiosk, you can always buy your ticket online like during the pandemic. Problem with that is you have to buy it 24 hours in advance.

This morning, the first truck thru the Decker gate didn’t stop at the kiosk. I thought he might be having trouble too, but as it turns out, he has the annual pass. So that is another way you can keep to the good.
