Hey guys, just moved to Georgetown from socal. Fished my whole life, enjoy both salt and fresh but more specifically for fresh a green bass kinda guy. Caught 4 about this size my first time out to OSP on the light gear wacky senko. I know there’s a few big boys waiting for me in there :). Would like to try Georgetown soon, is there good access to bank fishing there? Hope to see some of you out there!

Georgetown has some great bank fishing, if you are willing to hike a little. The area around Jim Hogg park is a good starting point

At the bottom of the photo the water is over 50 ft. deep right up next to the bank. The shelf between the point and the ramp usually is good for a fish or two. The ramp itself usually holds fish.

Welcome! I am in north austin and fish OSP (also known as bright lake) quite often. Was there last night in fact but got skunked. I've caught some decent ones there but nothing over 2lb yet.

I fish Jim hogg fairly frequently. I've never had luck where Longhorn is suggesting, but I'd wager he's right based on how many fish he pulls out of Georgetown :) I have typically fished the other side of the boat ramp into the little inlet and then around it on the other side of the shore.
