Dont need the rod but have one and can vouch that it is a very good rod for throwing the bigger swimbaits. If your throwing them on a flippin stick ditch that and buy this rod...good deal

Yeah, it is very good for throwing large baits. I could easily throw a BBZ on it and Huddlestons. It's a low priced but very well built rod. Good rod for the money.
