No plans to lower lakes Inks, LBJ, Marble Falls or Austin
LCRA has no plans to lower the levels of lakes Inks, LBJ, Marble Falls or Austin this winter. LCRA periodically lowers the levels of these lakes to help control nuisance plants and allow lakeside residents to build and maintain docks. LCRA did not lower any of these lake levels last year, due to the severe drought. Lowering lake levels this winter would not be a wise, efficient use of water while the drought persists

Pathological optimist that I am, I'm going with the data that say the Pacific is warming and that El Nino will return this fall and refill the lakes. If so, they may change their tunes, but as Travis points out, if the carp have already decimated every last bit of vegetation, and they may, why bother with a drawdown?
