I'm considering sell both my boats and paring down to one . The goal is to have one boat that will fish and run over a 100. I just priced a 2015 Bullet 20xdc with all options except electronics is $33,000 w/o motor. I'll be putting my 300xs on it if I do it. A new 250Pro XS with a sporty gear case is $ 16730.00. So that would put the boat @ $49730.00 plus electronics. Rigged to fish with mid to upper range electronics $53000 to $55000. An Allison, Stoker or Sterling a little more.
If you want to break 100 you are better off with a stroker or an Allison. My friend has a 21 foot bullet with the competition single console hull and a 300xs. He only runs 96 with no trolling g motor, 1 battery and no gear. Maybe the 20 footer will do it but I know the stroker will, and everybody knows Allison will, but Allison's aren't as cool looking.

May be a dealer question here, but, If I wanted to change to Humminbird would it cost me because they come stock with the Lowrance? Or would I have to custom build a boat from the factory and get it shipped to the dealer to avoid this?
You might have to custom order regardless around here if you wait too long in the season. Saw Joey from South Austin Marine out at the ramp before a Wednesday nighter couple weeks back and he was talking with the fellas. He said they have already sold out of every FX, ZX, and I class they ordered for this year. He has some of the TZXs still left, but all the higher end boats are gone. Only one listed on their website is Andy's demo FX21. But yeah you can custom order one anytime through Joey, just let him know what you want and they will get it done.

Any Skeeter with a Yamaha qualifies.

An angler that has fished a few of the Thursday Nighters, has a 1982 Skeeter Wrangler and when he inquired to Skeeter about the Real Money, they told him to strap a Yamaha on it and it would qualify.

Considering all the chances you have to win $3,000 of Skeeter Real Money on a $40 entry (nearly 50 events at the Wed Nighter on Austin and the Thurs Nighter on Dunlap) the decision is easy, especially at these prices. I have a feeling we are going to be seeing a lot of new Skeeters next year!

KILGORE, TX – (August 21, 2014) - It’s no secret that the top performing anglers on the water have the best equipment, and Skeeter has brought the best of the best together in the ultimate tournament anglers package. With completely brand new designs, the legendary ZX225 and ZX250 are back, and they are loaded with the perfect combination of features anglers want the most, at a price that keeps more dollars in their pocket.

Skeeter Boats Senior VP and General Manager Jeff Stone is excited to release the new Skeeter models, and is focused on innovations driven by customer demand.

“Considering the incredible success of the ZX line over the years, our engineering staff wanted to make these models the next step in high performance bass boats,” said Stone. “We at Skeeter have listened, and we are now bringing together a pre-packaged, loaded high-end tournament rig with the most technologically advanced fishing features included as standard equipment.”

These all-new, leading-edge, performance designed hulls were specifically made for the Yamaha V MAX SHO® 225 and V MAX SHO® 250 outboard motors. The ZX225, at 19 feet, 11 inches, and the ZX250, at 20 feet, 11 inches, offer the ultimate length combinations for anglers.

“High performance bass boats are now measured by how the boat performs at top-end speed, on the trolling motor and everything in between,” said Ben Jarrett, Director of Sales and Marketing, Skeeter Products, Inc. “Both models deliver Skeeter’s core performance heritage; a smooth, fast, and exceptionally dry ride.”

“Total fishing performance is enhanced by the modern features on your boat, not unlike smart phones in our pockets and navigation devices in our vehicles,” said Jarrett. “Fishing is changing, and keeping up with technology so you can fish at your peak is important. That’s why you need the right tools like futuristic Lowrance® electronics, Power Pole® anchoring systems, and powerful MinnKota® 112-pound trolling motors.”

Both models are loaded with standard features like an eight-foot Pro Series 2 Power Pole® and two flush mounted Gen 2 Lowrance® nine-inch touch screens which are factory-installed and networked together at the bow and console. Up front, there is a 112-pound Thrust MinnKota® trolling motor supported by a MinnKota® four-bank battery charger in the rigging compartment. A Hamby’s keel protector is factory-installed for hull protection, and there are eight all-new custom color packages from which to choose.

The cockpit command center finds an all-new custom ZX console with redesigned seats, tilt steering and plenty of legroom. Both models are available in a single or dual console configuration. Performance-styled upholstery delivers both good support and a comfortable ride. Convenient tool holders are now located on both sides of the forward cockpit where you can also find a custom Skeeter “Pro Rule®” measuring board for convenient access and use, which is important during competition.

Skeeter has pioneered the ultimate deck layout, and the 2015 ZX Series has been designed specifically to meet the demands of competitive anglers. With a total front deck rod capacity of 24 rod tubes, anglers have more interior room than ever before to secure their equipment. Each boat has port and starboard rod management systems that will hold a total of nine rods each. In addition, a multi-use center rod box holds six more rods, and has a built-in Plano® 3700 Tackle System.

The wide front deck has standard carpet padding for all day fishing comfort, retractable rod stays for convenience, and a recessed foot pedal for the trolling motor. Combine this with Skeeter’s famous “day box,” and tournament fishing has never had more convenient access and organization. Recessed LED forward running lights under the trolling motor give the bow of the boat a clean, low profile.

In addition, Skeeter’s unique “DRY DOCK” ventilation system is controlled by a convenient switch next to the driver’s seat which when turned on, allows boxes and compartments to have pressurized air circulation to help keep equipment dry, fresh, and mildew-resistant.

The rear deck hosts a massive tournament live well with fill, drain and recirculation modes and a standard Oxygenator%E2%84%A2 system with remote switch to ensure fish are in the best care possible when aboard a Skeeter. The rear center access door features a center hatch for easy access to the rigging area. There are also two large capacity storage boxes for plenty of storage.

The new ZXs by Skeeter come with a custom built, tandem axle Skeeter Trailer which is specially designed to match the boat for smooth towing. The trailer benefits from Skeeter’s “Tuff Coat” finish, custom cut-out Skeeter lighted logos, LED lights, aluminum mag wheels, tie downs and a vault hub system as standard equipment. A standard swing away tongue, torsion axles, a full-size aluminum rim spare tire complete the package and ensure the ZXs are always riding in comfort.

Not sure what length rods the center compartment will hold, but I know for a fact the cooler under the center seat will hold 36 beers, a couple bottles of Gatorade/water, a couple Red Bulls and 10 pounds of ice. Also, if the rear storage compartments are insulated like they are in the FX you can add another 96 beers, a couple 750 ml bottles of whiskey and 40 pounds of ice...

This should make most of our anglers feel like this...

I don't know what's sexier that new Skeeter or Rooster's chicken legs?

Never mind, after 1 second of deliberation I have determined it's the Skeeter.
