How are you fishing this time of year if fishing between 10am and 3pm?
They haven't been where I've been, so I'm about to start looking offshore during that time of day. They've got to be chasing shad somewhere, and with all the lake traffic and summer temps, probably at night and in the main lake.

My experience Wednesday (21 June) on Lake Travis during this time period was dismal. I used tx rigged worm. I worked down the side of drop offs. I fished under, beside, and behind docks. Result: a couple of dinks, frustration, and a renewed determination to get up early.

I wouldn't say I'm a total fair-weather fisherman, but 45 degrees at 7am onshore is 35 out on the water, and too cold for these old-man's bones. So wintertimes I tend to go out for moderate daytime temps in the last 2-3 hours of daylight, the late afternoon, to see if I can find some early dinner cruisers hitting the shallow and mid-shallow depths. But it's been tough the last couple of weeks in my part of Travis.
