Well with all the big fish being caught on LA the last few days Garland and I decided to give it a try. Launched at Quilan water temps were about 58 and drizzly conditions. We fished one or two spots and nothing. Hit our third spot and caught a 7lb/3.3lbs/3.8lbs in less than an hour. I was going to post some pictures but .....well seems pointless with the others that have been on here. Caught a few more dinks and ended up off the lake by 12:30. Watre temps were around 62 just past the 360 bridge. Think I may have to take a day or 2 off here and give it another shot. All 3 fish were caught on crank baits.

Lunker fever is right! 7lber eh? Freakin' awesome. The last time I was out there was about a week ago, and it was pretty slow and on-line reports were of just small fish. I told my partner that day, "We're just barely too early. As soon as the water temp comes up just 1-2 more degrees, the big ones will start eating more." I'm headed out tomorrow morning!!!

I would say that is a great short day of fishing any time on any lake.

Isn't it funny how all theses DD bass change our perspective? WTG on the 7! We caught 6, 4, and a 3 over the weekend. A friend asked how we did. I said pretty good, just no big ones. He only fishes Travis, and seemed a little confused.

I know! The 7 fought great and it took several minutes to land, pulling drag and giving me a thrill. One of the 3lbs I tried to just flip into the boat and Garland is going nuts asking me what was I thinking! I said it didn't look that big in the water, but in fact was a 16 inch fish that was fat and strong. Fun times!

Nice bag of fish!  I went out Sunday as well till about 11am and had two unders and a 3lber get off.  Nothing special but it was nice to finally get back out there.

Well TDub we wouldn't want your head to swell any larger, you would have to buy all new hats.

I still haven't caught one over 8 lbs., so its all relative.
