For 4 consecutive weeks, Lake Travis has been on fire. Still 2/3 of the catch is males, but females are starting to ring in.

Went out today armed with a watermelon sparkle brushhog and caught 15 in a 3 hour period. Temps were 63 and I just focused on the brush in the backs of the coves near mile marker 45. Yes, I am uplake from most.

Believe it or not, because I was tired of catching bass I was out to crappie fish. I can't catch a crappie to save my life, so I gave up and whipped out the white spinner and brush hog. Then the fun began

I have been impressed with the quality bass that LT has been producing lately. Almost all hookups are with a pound to 4 pounds.

I hit the lower end again this morning. Did better than yesterday. Caught 9 in the 14-16" range, mostly near the backs of creeks on the Texas rig.

Talked to 3 guys in a green and white Nitro that were also catching fish, but fishing deeper - around 20' or so.

Saw more fish on/around beds than yesterday, and a few that were locked on (but not very big).

Nice day to be out - lots of sail boats and few powerboats today.

I see how your telling your location mile marker 45 or what not, where are these mile markers. I usually fish LA and want to go out to LT but it is a pretty big lake. Any help on where to go or what part to hit up fishing for bass/ catfish/crappie. And what people are using.

Thanks

Ben
