We started out throwing swimbaits along a steep bank near the sail and ski marina.nothing so we flew across the lake in to the big cove closest the mansfield dam.managed so good sized fish.cant tell you what i was throwing but i can tell you they were gaurding fry.see yall tuesday oout there for the ttz tourney.

On another note, I fished this past Sunday up the Colorado in a bunch of the coves. Best 5 would have gone 20lbs. We were beating the banks throwing weightless watermelon red Senkos, watermelon lizards carolina rigged, and small swimbaits. Tons of small fish along with 4 and 5lb fish. Caught about 10 fish from 3-5lbs...good stuff. One cove in particular held two of the 5 lb fish...it's a cove on the left side( going up river) that is blocked off towards the back with a couple of boat docks. Travis is fishing well right now.

Hey tonebowski, I believe 5 fish that weigh 4-5lbs would equal 20-25lbs. :-?
He did tell you they were guarding fry, that's informative to me.

Ha, yeah, that math doesn't add up right to me either, RMV. Best 5 went 17-18lbs, but they caught about 10 bass from 4-5lbs?

Should have been "3-5lbs". Two 5lbs, one 4lb, and a bunch of 3's....guess 20lbs is about right. Call me rocketkid jr.....
