Went back to the Llano river Sunday afternoon. Changes from the rains created new pools and different water levels but it was fun none the less. Walked and waded the pools searching for fish. We were throwing 3.25" Yum Crawbugs (Crawdad color), 2.5" Rage Tail Rage Ned Bug (Watermelon Red Flake) and 3.5" Yum Christie Craw (Watermelon Flake). Lots of smaller fish to be found and we caught 9 LMB, 7 SMB and 8 Guads. Nothing was more than 11" and most were under 8" but it was fun. We did land one 3lb blue cat so we would not have starved had we needed food. Water is getting cooler so the wading will get more interesting but the fishing is really fun. I might need to try my fly rod here as there is a lot of open space for me. Keep your lines tight and have a blessed day.
