We had the PKF tournament today at LBL. We launched from Fiesta Gardens at 5:30AM, fished till 10:30AM.
Time: 5:30AM-10:30AM.
Weather: 82 in the AM, up to 96 at 10:30AM. Winds picked up from 5MPH in the AM to 12MPH.
H2O: 79.8 degrees, 3ft. visibility
Started off pretty well with a fat 17"er on a 10" worm TX-rigged.
Caught a little guy after that at the same spot, in about 23' of water.
Moved shallow later on which is the opposite of what a lot of people do, and caught a nice 20"er in 3ft. of water, in reeds. Saw the reed move, threw the Rattlesnake, and got a bite instantly. What a fight. Somewhere near 5.5lbs. It was a fatty.
Nice chunky fish, caught on Rattlesnake
Had 4 fish today, 2 were keepers. My Dad (MOEDOG) had 1 keeper, and 5 fish all day.
Took 2nd behind Steve G again! 8)
I wish there was a big bass pot, would've won it.
Getting better on that lake, the past 2 trips I've caught one over 19".
