Dropped the Yak in under the I-35 bridge at 7am. Went the opposite way and got similar results. Headed east on the South bank only 1 small LMB on a dropshot under the pedestrian walkways. Turned back and worked the North bank and more luck under trees and lay downs . Landed 6 more, including a couple of keeper size and 1 feisty bluegill. All were caught on either dropshot or ned rig. Breezy, cloudy, water stained off at 10:30.

Thanks for the report, JT. Nice fish in the picture.

I planned on fishing Lady Bird today for two very good reasons: free parking on Sunday and good protection from spring breezes.

After ranting yesterday about sacking up and fishing in the wind, I thought I better practice what I preach and I went to Bastrop. Bastrop’s a pretty lake and I got to see a bald eagle, but nothing like the eye-popping scenery at Lady Bird!
