Dropped the Yak in under the I-35 bridge at 7:20 am. Headed eastbound on the north shore. Tried a frog and square bill, no dice. Then I realized I was right behind Jeremy and his son on their pond prowler, there were no bass left. Switched to the the sunny south bank, heading westbound and switched to the ned rig. Had better luck. Picked up 2 drinks and a keeper size under the walking paths. Then tried my luck under the i-35, hooked something big. The beast pulled and pulled but only in one direction and never jumped. Got it boat side about a 5 lb catfish sucked in my ned rig. As I was trying to grab he yanked his head one more time and broke my 6lb test. Off at 10:30, fun morning.

LOL, that was you behind us! Like I said in my report, the boy was restless, so we were in high gear. Glad to hear you got some good bites. Big cats always get the blood racing.

You’re not kidding about the sunny side. My son was very happy when we moved into the sun.
