Water Conditions: clear to slight stain 58-60deg
Date(s) Fished: 11/28/2010

Launched shortly after 5 am and pitched laydowns. Had 5 bites and missed them all. Switched to the CB once the sun came up and caught 2 fairly quick. Fished for a bit longer and moved to some rocks in 10ft of water and picked up this 7lb 6oz 23.50" Toad. My camera sucks and overexposed the shot, but you get the idea.

Seeing that recent pix of you from a few days ago in your 'yak holding a good fatty and noticing your 'yak waay loaded with stuff - all I can say is you deserve all of those toads you've been catching lately. Anyone who goes thru that much work involved in loading/unloading a 'yak and that type of gear does!

Thanks 5-20! That lake has been good to me over the colder months. It took me about 2 years to learn some good holes out there. When the water cools down, the fatties load up in these places. My best 5 from the last few trips out is right about 32 lbs (109.25") If I could get all my holes to pay off in one day, that would be an awesome day on the water.

Nice Fish! Love that lake...  I caught this 7.7lb 23.5in fish back in march. Coincidence? Lateral line looks very similar,

As long as I can stay dry......I'll fish all year long. I remember a day last year I launched when it was 28 and only warmed to 34

Caught 'em good that day.

Tougher than I my friend. With good waders and and a top you can stay dry, but I haven't found the gloves that will do the job yet. Nothing like painfully numb fingers to send me to the bar.

"Texas Slam" Gloves from Academy.  About $8.  They do the job and you can fold back the thumb and forefinger.  I am wearing them in the pic below

I had an expensive pair from Cabelas but they were crap and tore so i took them back.

Good to hear. I actually bought those a few weeks back but it turned out a bit warmer than forcast so I didn't get to give em a try. Gotta help some at least.
