Fished for a few hours with fishbone and lwink.Bass were really slow on the bite this morning but caught this monster on a crank this morning.23lbs and 35 inches or so man did it put up the fight!!!!!

Dude, that's an awesome surprise to catch on a crank, Jan 3rd the same happened to me. landed a 26lb cat on a firetiger crank. Yummy.

Great catch nitroguy! That's a nice consolation prize for a slow day of bass fishing. Bet that brute really stretched your line and pulled your boat around a bit!

I don't really consider myself a purist, but I generally get deflated when I've got a heavy fish on the end of my line and it turns out to be a big ol catfish.
Was fishing last year and onto some pretty nice fish on Travis. My partner had just hauled in a 5 1/2 lber, I got a big bite in 20 ft of water and thought it was my turn. I could tell the way it found though that it didnt feel like a bass, and sure enough, ol mr catfish came up grinning at me. :-/...not to take away from your catch though, well done!
