First time on Travis in many weeks. Launched at Mansfield. I have 19 ft bass boat and launched without a problem using 2wd Expedition. The new lane is fine and soon there will be additional lanes open.
I made a late start because I wanted to be able to see obstacles, on the water at 8:00AM. Water temp was 82, wind SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Ran to Cypress Creek and fished most of the morning pitching Senkos at the rock walls behind the newly relocated marina. I caught ten spots/LMB in CC but only one keeper, a 16 1/2 incher. I ran down to Sandy and fished around the Island, caught another 15 incher.
Quit and went home at 2:00PM. Not a great day but not a bad one either.
Really got around the lake just fine, just need to be careful and watch the water depth closely, keep the speed down. Retrieved my boat at Mansfield without a problem. It is good to have Travis as an option again.
