SATURDAY, MARCH 29th.

Launched at Point Venture at 7:30am. Cloudy skies, air temperature was 51 degrees with a light North wind. Water temperature was 62 degrees. Water was ultra clear to 10 feet!

Fished shallow, with plastics. Small bass to 14". At noontime, ran up towards Lago Vista, and caught bass on crankbaits and plastics.  Brush hogs seem to catch the smaller bass. No topwater bites. No spinnerbait bites.

Only saw one other bass boat the whole day. (Skeeter bass boat)

Glen and I covered alot of water to find quality fish. Finally came across some nice bass on rock wall drop-offs in 30 feet. Best five was 18lbs or so. Overall good day.

Helped a stranded boater out, which took some time away from fishing....

Some of the bass would follow it to the boat, while others would slam it about 5 cranks off the shore. Did not look for bedding fish. However, it was so clear that I would have spooked them if I was looking. Bigger bass were in 10 to 15 feet of water and smaller , closer to shore.

Here are a couple of pics. We caught over 50 bass to 22.5" (33 over 14"), 4 striper from 21" to 25"), 1each 14"crappie and 1 18" blue catfish, all on lures.

PICTURES OF THE BIG STRIPER ARE IN THE STRIPER/WHITE BASS SECTION.

My friend Glen, is 6' 3" and 245lbs. He looks small in a couple of the pics. ;D

Caught on DD-14 and DD-22...And some on plastics, too.

Watermelon Red Brush-hog, Texas rigged with 4/0 wide gap hook. Also, Senko in same color, but weightless.

Overall, one of our more productive LT days in a while!

Not certain what the 22.5" fish weighed, but it was a nice one!

Hey, which of the two pictures is you?
I am the older one, second picture. My friend Glen is in two of them...

Funny story:
I picked up a Bill Norman, Little N is Fire Tiger at the Bass Pro Shop in Houston, on this past Thursday. Since I normally fish with the Bomber Flat A in Firetiger. The first 10 fish caught using a firetiger Flat A. He asked to borrow a firetiger crankbait. So, I gave him the firetiger crankbait, that I had recently purchased. It was only one. He used it most of the afternoon and evening, catching the bigger bass. About the last cast of the evening,  he lost it on even a bigger bass...
It was fun while it lasted.

We went out Saturday also. only saw one other boat too! It was nice to have the lake to ourselves. haha, I have a skeeter, maybe it was you I saw! haha

We had similar results but my camera man wont have pics for me till tomorrow. :( Our best 5 would have been about 15 pounds (maybe more) but we didnt weigh any of the fish but we had several chunks with one that would have been close to 5 pounds. We didnt get on a SB, topwater or CB. All of our fish came flipping the brush in 4-10 foot of water. Watermelon plastics. Also did well with the shakey head on points a little deeper. My thumb is still sore. What a day on the lake! Thanks for your report!

went to LT on saturday myself caught between 30-40 fish all being keepers except 5. Best part of day was my 9year old daughter hung a 3lber on a baby brush hog on a micro rod on 6lb test. That fish whipped her a$$ up and down that boat. great times she was so stoked.
