Fished Lake Travis this morning from 7:00 to 10:30. Water temperature was ~ 79 F. Fished coves to start with and the bass seemed to like an H20 Express popper. Even caught a big bluegill. Around 9:00 the surface bite died. We then tried plastics with no luck. Lastly we went to fish the Sometimes Islands (now submerged). My son caught the fish below on a DD22 in about 20 feet of water. The fish was 20 inches long and was too heavy for my son to hold up with just one hand (as shown).
Seems that the bass are moving towards a summer pattern.
