Fished Travis this morning from 6:30 to 10:00.  It started really slow.  Minimal topwater bite.  Only boated 4 bass.  It seems that the water level dropped a few feet in the last couple of days.  As a result, we thought the fish were deeper than where we normally catch them.

We moved to fish deeper water and my son caught the one below on a crank bait at Arkansas Bend in about 20 feet of water.  It measured 22" long.  It put up a big fight was really exciting.  I want to catch one too.

Thanks for the compliments. I will pass them along. He will talk to anyone any time about fishing. He only just finished kindergarten, so when he can write well he will write his book on bass wisdom.
