Started fishing at 9am, mid-lake. Fished deep water, trying for striper using jigging spoons for about an hour. Then the NNW winds increased up to 15mph. Ditched that idea then went looking for wind-blown points. Water temp was 56.3 degrees and partly clear water to 2 feet. Fished started casting banks with no love, then moved back to deeper water points in 20-25 feet of water.
At 11am to 1pm, caught and released 17 LMB from 12" to 20"...Glen caught his on a DD-14, Firetiger in 20 feet of water. I caught most of mine on shaky-head rattlesnake in watermelon/chart.
Once we figured out the bite, it was on...the winds did get up, but did not seem to matter.
I might be back on Friday...
Below is the big bass of the day, by Glen. All bass were very healthy looking, for a change.
