Fished from daylight till 1:00. Fished as far back as my boat would go in the back of creeks and caught a ton of fish. For about every 5 dinks I would get a keeper. All fish were caught on tx rigged Sencos.
Biggest fish was 16".

Seemed like the key was to fine clear water with boulders. The Temp was about 82 in the back of the creeks.

Not huge fish, but a blast catching the huge numbers.

Sounds like fun. I haven't fished the backs of coves this time of year like you describe in Travis for a while, but in the "old" days, a Storm ThinFin cast on 6-8 lb line was good in this type of water, as you described. Senkos and flukes are hard to beat nowadays. Thanks for the report.

Took the boat out for about one hour on LT. Just got the motor serviced. Ran up to Lago Vista Area and there was larges areas of shad on the surface at the mouths of large coves. The shad are moving and it is good to see them on the surface. I think this is going to be a great fall especially with the high lake level throughout the summer and now into the fall. I'm ready...

Thanks for u report..

I was actually pretty far up the lake. I think anywhere fresh water was coming into the lake there would be fish. The creek I was in was real muddy until you got closer to where you couldn't go any further. As soon as the water cleared up there were fish.
