Fished Travis yesterday afternoon, water temps where 60 degrees at the boat ramp and 62-64 in the back of cypress and other creeks down south. Threw a chigger craw and had a few fish, but no size. First time for me, I caught a 12 inch spot and as I flipped it into the boat it spit up a 5 inch crawfish upon first glance. Upon closer inspection, it was one of those madman craw baits like this:
That fish had already was chewing on a crawfish, and now he wants another chigger craw like this:
The next fish I caught spit up a corn on the cob and a shiner bock.....must be a crawfish boil going on down there ;D
