Started at 1pm...Launched at Point Venture. Started fishing main lake points and secondary points in deep coves. Water temp was 50.8 degrees in main lake. Back of coves, 58.3 degrees. Water was off color in mid-lake area and got murkier towards the Pedenaless River. Fished Point Venture area, Briarcliff, Lago Vista, Cow Creek, Perdenales River to Mona's and back....

Summary:
Caught 30+ Black bass today. No Guadalupes or spotted. Best five = 15lbs. Most of the bass were small or dinks. Big bass was 4lbs. All bass hit Bomber Flat A in firetiger and Manns 15+ crankbaits. Tough day, at times. Fish were near bait pods or on wind blown cove/points. Also caught some right out in the middle of the mouth of coves, in 30 feet of water, near pods of bait.

Off the water at 6:30pm....

Winds were gusting at times to 15-20mph...Did anyone see the big fire, near Bee Creek area? STARFLIGHT helicopter would use a bucket and scoop the water up and dump it on the fire. Pretty cool. I have only seen this on TV...Saw it first hand today...The helicopter was getting water in BEE CREEK. The pilot did a great job holding the helicopter right above the water as the bucket was filling up...

Yea,

I had to be home by 3:30pm today. My wife had friends from college in town and she was "going out with the girls".. so I had baby watch.. heh

Lemme get the coordinates.. sec..

I think I made it about to this point here:

30.398993,-98.110807

I tried to stay away from the guide that was trolling the other side. They had about 3-4 poles in the water, and I had one (I was driving and my dog can't steer well.. lol) and I pulled a good white in about at that northern point of that cove.

I reset both of my fish finders to the defaults and then turned off the fish ID and I think I can understand the things better now. I do pick up a lot of interference when I am moving though, with the one on my console (attached to the aft). I need to look at where it is mounted and possibly move it elsewhere.

I won't be out next weekend. I will be out again on the 21st (Friday) for all day. I am hoping like mad it is a nice calm day then too.

I was very suprised that I only saw one boat trolling. Everyone else had minnows and were just sitting there.
