Fob and I hit Gtown for the Maynards T. We went up the river to start, and it was really muddy from the rain I guess.

Anyway, no go there.

Went to fish the main lake and Fob hooks a nice one, but in the slot. I also caught a good one, but was 1/4'' too long to weigh.

Fished pretty hard, but the Dead sea handed it to us.... again.

The Good news is a ABF er did win the $$

Congrats to Bass Cat 200 on a nice win !!

1st place and Big bass for $640.00  - 10.4 lbs with a 6.0 kicker.

Ronnie Maynard with 2 nice fish.

EA

PS Was good to see BaDean, 520vx, Wade, and of course Bass Cat 200 and his buddy James.

Cedar breaks ramp in Gtown. If it is full, or you are late, launch at Jim Hogg park and come across the lake.

Time is 5:00 p to 5:25 check in  First cast is 5:30.

Weigh in is 9:15 ( load your boat )

Really good T, it is just Gtown pretty much is very hard to ( catch ) fish.

Congrats guys!

Learning a little more everytime we head out there, it's just really hard to fish a T knowing you are dead money.

I think next week we are going with EA's idea to burn up $15.00, take the other half and go buy an 18 and drink it in his garage.

Good times still, the Maynards run a great jackpot.

I have had some pretty good main lake patterns with 20-30 fish in 4 hours. I have been pretty open on this site with where and what I have been doing. It is actually a pretty simple lake to fish, especially for the 12-14" fish. The over 18" ones are a little trickier. But I am sure everything is a little different when there is a tourney going on. Shakey Head worms have been the best ticket lately. I have been using watermelon red cut tail worm. Shad colored cranks that dive 6-10 feet, fishing in 5-8 feet of water.

Sorry James I'm late, I've been busy with Family and vacation. Congratulations on the win!!!

My Dad and I fished Gtown Thursday and had 2 under 14" keepers. We caught around 12 fish including a 13 15/16" Smallmouth and four slot fish. I also missed another Smallie close to the boat that would have kept. We caught all of our fish on a 100 yard stretch of bluffs with large rocks and wood, also it was out of the wind.

Oh Well, like I said before fishing with Dad is great, but catching is even better! ;D

Not trying to steal you're Thunder, just thought I'd share. 8)
