Or rather, last friday, from the dam west past overlook and cedar brakes, the water was full of schooling fish. Lots of small whites. They were biting well. At 9:00 am , they disappeared.

Interesting! BTW, did you cacth ones? What kind of lures did you use?

If the fish were schooling near overlook point or the cove near there, they were bass. Those bass can be caught on jerk baits or Zoom Fluke Jrs in white ice...
If the fish were schooling out in front of Cedar Breaks boat ramp cove to Jim Hogg to Russel Park out in the middle, then they were whites. The bigger whites are below them. The small whites can be caught on clear Baby torpedo's topwater lures. The bigger whites and hybrids can be caught on jigging spoons.
Last Saturday, the sun came out to soon and the schools went down quick. Never was to find them again.
If you can fish any cloudy AM or PM, the fish will school on top longer.
