Hit the lake at 8am, one other boat. I did not catch a fish till 10am right in front of the cold front. The first one was the size of my Senko, the second was 2-2 1/2 lb. water temp 52-54. no whites anywhere.
I went there last weekend and had limited luck on any kind of lures. I finally bought some minnows and caught about 6 small to medium ones in about an hour.
If fishing for white bass, try out in front of Russell Park. Also back around the point of Russell Park. Look in 20 feet of water, near sandy bottom point. Also, you can try the area right before you get to the river channel that is marked off by trees....
For Hybrids, try and fish near the pipes that go down into the water, just East of Cedar Break Park. Use LCD chart to find them. Then use 1/2 oz white slab and try slabbing for them....Or the area near the over-flow tower, also has some great hybrid fishing at times.
