Took a day off to wet a hook yesterday.

Started out down I35 for a Guadalupe session, caught 18 trout on the new 3wt and the rain started so headed back to Austin around noon.

Wanted to get into some whites but south-side traffic and time weren't on my side so a buddy and I went to a little pond here in town that always has a few small bass knocking around. Caught about 20 dinks or so in a couple hours, using tiny shallow crankbaits, small white spinners and even a few on a shad pattern top water popper. As we were leaving I decided to throw something a bit more solid and switched to a crawfish pattern regular crankbait, made a few casts, BOOM headshot.

Nice fish Limey, I wish i had my pictures from last night so I could be all cool and have a report up. Water ninja has really let me down with his lack of camera uploading today. Oh well, he is in an excellent night time Lake Travis guide and pretty good at small engine repair, so I'll give him a pass.

Carrot Stix and Yeti's are badass, so I am not really sure what the problem is there. Not familiar with the expression "snoods on a dude" and if my fish were smaller, I would have a more size appropriate signature.

I was awarded a yeti hat the other day at a fundraiser. I was pretty excited about it. There's a difference between skill and luck. Yeti helps separate the two. The only problem is that the hat is bubble shaped kinda like a chef boyardee hat and i"m not totally diggin it.

They're toolishly pricey, admittedly awesome, and a snood is a hood crossed with a scarf, you know, like grandmas wear skiing? (I didn't even mention the damn motor-cross gloves either brah!)

uhhh, my life is based on toolishly pricey, being a label whore and looking good is better than any Hydrowave, fish flock to looks and that is straight fucking truth. Also, I like to call it my cold weather buff, because I am a total trophy and I have buffs for all seasons. Motor cross? That **** is straight Under Armour camo cold gear, semi-functional and very good looking. Having a sweet mustache is half the battle, and if you aren't there, you have to make up for it in anyway possible.

Nice to meet you too. Good luck at the legendary mimis, you might try any smaller, shallow crankbaits, spinners, topwater poppers or anything weedless. The kids would tear it up with some live worms I bet too.Good luck!
