www.TheAnglingChannel.com went out with Jack Waldrop Jr. last Wednesday on Lake Austin and nailed them on all sorts of baits.  We caught 10 - 12 fish using swim baits, drop shot rigged worms and crank baits.  The crank baits caught the most fish.  It was a great day for filming the clear sky made it better.  When Lake Austin is on draw down the fishing can be excellent.  Jack discusses some of his techniques in this episode of River City Bass Angler that can help anglers on this lake.  We caught a 7 pounder on a new swim bait Jack got, it caught the biggest fish.  W fished for about 6 hours from 10AM to 4PM with the most productive hours before 1PM.

I am glad to hear that someone is catching some fish out there. I have gone three times since draw down and havent caught a fish. I have used crankbaits, rattlesnakes, rattletraps, spinners, swimbaits and even buzzbaits trying to snag one. No dice.
Maybe Im just not holding my mouth right ;)
Ill be back out there soon for another go.

Nice video! I am not sure that Covergirl will get the desired marketing benefit from that ad at the intro. Then again... here I am talking about it.

I launched @ 360 Sunday morning from 7-10 am and didn't catch anything either. I threw crank baits, shakyheads with rattle snakes and a brush hog c-rig. Also saw a few other yak anglers who hadn't caught anything. Tried under docks, near rocks, and deep. Saw a few fish on the FF, but no bites.

The name of the place is FishFinders Marine in Round Rock. The owner's name is Jacky Roberts. He sells a lot of cool tackle and he's fantastic at repairing trolling motors and installing depth finders. I've been trading there for years.

You could luanch there, however you'll have to drag your yak through about 30 yards of mud

I launched 2 yaks there yesterday and mud was dry to touch on top.  You could feel it under you soft but wasn't sticking to the shoes.  We caught a few small ones and my son caught this nice one:

We were mostly crankbait fishing and bites picked up after current stopped.
