I fished Buchanan and had some "black salties" left over so put 'em in a flow troll and hung them off the dock. Came home with 5 baits and 2 days later they are still alive and kicking good.

I've been seeing some decent bass off my backyard deck lately, so I put out a saltie under a cork and within 30 seconds was ON! Pulled in a 4 pounder.

I found a wholesale black saltie dealer online and am going to order some of these guys - they are awesome. They stay on the hook, stay alive and are super lively.

Re: Lake Austin - 9/12 off the dock - black saltie

The cool thing is they stay alive in salt and fresh water.

I'm gonna order about 300 of these guys and build a pen for them next to my dock.

I think you would be better off keeping them in an aerated cooler or something. If you put them in a pen in the lake, you are going to have to deal with turtles, birds, and raccoons raiding your bait.
