Fished LA this evening from Quinlan Park. Only one small (really small) bass caught with a weightless senko. The current was fair so we wondered if the dam was releasing water.
Near dusk we noticed some fish feeding on the shoreline, so I rigged up a classic worm on a hook with bobber. Caught this one which seemed odd. It was PURPLE with a YELLOW gill. It does not look like a bluegill, redear, or longear. Is this just a color varriation during spawning?
