Lake:  Lake Austin
Date: 21 FEB 2011  07:00-12:00
Weather: Warm cloudy morning in the 60's.  Light s/sw wind.
Water Conditions:  Normal stain.  Temps around 57-59  in the upper end.

Was able to get out on Monday morning and do a little fun fishing on LA.  Ran up to the upper end and worked back to mid lake.  Like the other recent LA reports I was surprised to see surface temps in the high 50's.

Spent most of my time targeting docks with a T-rigged Senko and caught plenty of fish but no quality bites.  Seemed like there was a dink on every corner dock piling.  Continued to weed through the dink fest until mid day and then headed home for lunch and some chores.  Biggest fish went 2 lb 11 oz.

A little football of fish

Releasing one of the dinks.  Love that water color.

Nice report, thanks for posting.
Made it on the water late, got on about 4:30 PM. We flipped docks as well with various crawbaits, picked up some very fat fish, but nothing huge. Bite stopped completely at sunset. Beautiful day on LA.
Thanks for the great report Rude. Hard to believe that nice football of a fish is under 3 lbs!

I was thinking the same thing haha
Yeah, my back seater thought the same thing about that fish and swore it was 3-4 lbs.  I put it on my x tools scale and it came out to be 2 lbs 11oz.  Of course the scale could have been off.

Tight Lines everyone!
Might want to check your scale man.. That fish is at least three.
I hate to say it, but 2-11 looks about right to me. He's freakin' fat, yes, but he's also lookin' pretty short. Thanks for the report, Rude.
All I know is if you catch a "12-6" you better not let her go!
I caught of 14 incher today that was 3 even (on a cheap scale).. Fat little pig! Hit a 10" power worm.

That is a FAT bass... would almost have to see it to believe it (please don't construe this as me doubting you- I am not)! Congrats on a CHUNK!
Love those fat bass in Austin. Reminds me of my college days fishing tourneys on Sam Rayburn. I miss east Texas sometimes.

Thanks for the report.
