Took the family (wife, kid and dog) for a long boat ride Saturday. We went from one end of the lake to the other. Got up to the low water crossing and they were letting out a lot of water. Graphing fish all over the place up there, I decided to pull out a rod. I let the boat drift down stream and started throwing a jigging spoon out in the current, pull, let it drop, pull, let it drop. Picked up a few dinks using this technique.
As we were on the south end of the lake, I picked up one keeper fish on a top water bait along with several dinks. I only stopped off at three places to fish. And of course my baby girl just had to jump in and swim in two of those places while I was fishing.
Butthat's oky, this really wasn’t a fishing trip anyhow, just a day on the water with the family. They swam a little up on the north end, but I could not make myself jump into that cold water. I only went swimming around the city park area or south of there.
The fish I caught seemed to be pretty skinny.
I think I’ll download a few pictures of our trip just for grins.
Now this is a dink. But my little puppy dog sure was interested in it.
This is our daughter jumping into the cold water up north.
Daughter wanted to get a snap shot of us two together while we were in motion.
Holly trying to lick the fish.
This is normally how Holly gets on the side of the boat when she hears a fish jumping and splashing around while I’m reeling one in. But this time it isn’t a fish she is so interested in. The next picture will reveal what she really wants.
Some body has her ball.
